Wow that game looks interesting! I don't know much about Star Trek but it sounds fun.

And I'm not sure if you're thinking I'm talking about the PC version, but for the sake of clarification, you can actually download the 3.0 Toybox on your PS4; no need to buy a starter pack. That way you can have fun in the TB, and even get the expansion games to play with. That's what you could have been referring to though, the wording just had me confused lol. Food for thought next year.

I always buy the starter pack, so therefore I have no experience with the Toy Box download on Playstation 4.

In terms of playsets though, I don't think I got much out of this one.
Since I didn't play the Star Wars playsets and I lost interest in the Inside Out playset because the gameplay was too repetitive, there aren't any more.

I haven't gotten the Marvel 3.0 playset yet, I don't think it has been released for purchasing.

I don't understand how force abilities are any different to 'proper mental powers'?

Because it is space magic.

In sci-fi, mental powers are the result of increased activity in the brain or a specialized structure which gives the person the ability to control thoughts or manipulate the physical world around them.

They never explained what causes the Force, aside from an explanation that was dropped because the fans did not like it.
From what I gather, that entire movie was detested by Star Warriors.

From my perspective, that is the major problem with Star Wars, Sci-fi should always be about the how and why plus the technology and that is not very important in their franchise.

Because Star Wars is more Science Fantasy than Science Fiction. Or how it's more commonly classified, a space opera.

I suppose my main issue with lightsabers is they're not a real sword, as in they don't have a solid blade.
I guess the same rule applies to the Force, if you're going to toss enemies around with your mind, use actual mental powers, not an imitation thereof.

HAHAHAHA, these are such arbitrary distinctions. Because if there's one thing I require in my mental powers, is that they be realistic.

I originally though the limitations of having only a lightsaber without a blaster as a ranged weapon would be problematic, but after powering up Anakin, Obi-wan, Yoda and Ahsoka, I found Luke's blaster to be annoyingly limiting. The "true Jedi" figures' force-dash ranged attack is incredibly powerful, and Ahsoka is particularly deadly when powered up. If I had a problem defeating a boss, she's usually my last resort big gun. I have to stop my self from saying "okay, you asked for it" out loud when I put her on the base.
