Minimum number of toys needed to unlock all of toy box?

So, unless I'm misunderstanding, you get stars from leveling up characters which you can then use to spin for items in the toy box. Do the stars you collect during the level for certain actions also let you spin?

And how many characters would I need to level up in order to unlock everything? Max level for each character is what, 15?

I'm not sure exactly how many, but, yes. Max level for each is 15. I also heard you can reset a character to level them up again. So minimum characters... One. You can wipe them out.

And nothing is tied to the character itself except level, right? It's not like Skylanders where the money and unlocked moves/weapons are saved to the character? By resetting, I only lose the level, which is sort of a pointless number anyway.

It apparently takes 180 spins to unlock everything. I'm progressing rather slowly compared to some other folks here, but I've banked over 100 spins with 2 characters around level 10, 3 characters around level 5, and everyone else still at 0. I'm finding that just working through the playsets and challenges is providing ample spins. I guess it helps that I'm not in a huge hurry to use the toy box.

Yes, 180 is correct. However, you *cannot* reset characters to start over (you can create a new account and start over with 0 level characters, but your toybox will be empty as well).

I believe that you can reset characters to get more spins, but I believe you need a friends system to assist. You go to their system, put your character on the platform and rest owner ship. You then take the character to your platform and game, and take owner ship. This resets the character and synchs it with your account.

No, this will NOT work -- we've tried.

There is no way around trying to get more spins by "resetting" your character.

Has anyone tried playing with figures still in the box? It works with Skylanders. If it works with DI, I am going to grab my crystal mcqueen and use him.
