extra small track piece

Postby Hey37Bulldog » Sun Sep 08, 2013 8:48 pm

I wish avalanche would make an even smaller track piece, because whenever I make a cool track there's always a small gap! I've unlocked all track and using the start line to fill it over doesn't make it a useable track for AI. Any tips?

sadly i think track connection issues is one of, if not the most frustrating part of basic Toy box creation :(

I have a small thin track piece, but but maybe your gap is too small it won't be able to use that! It'll be hard, but try making you track closer together.

I have built a BUNCH of tracks already, and I can tell you exactly where the mistake is occurring. Chances are you are using one of the banked turns. It is VERY easy to fail in aligning them up with the exit piece. Most of the time, you do not get the yellow highlight indicating you are properly linked, so you move on assuming you have it right, but due to the way the track slips under the banking, it is almost impossible to tell if the linking is perfect. I double and triple check every time I use a bank.

Octane's exactly right. Figures that we're finding flaws in Octane(Infinity's engine), given that TS3, and Cars 2 used it, and those didn't have nearly all the features Infinity has. But now that I think about it, Cars 2 had some of the driving mechanic issues like cars falling over.

it helps me find the error if I start working back in the other direction.
It's frustrating, but possible.

If you add a speed bump or booster to cover the gap does it still count that as a complete track and let you build races?

I did this a couple times but haven't tried to turn them into actual races yet...
