Cyclops from X-Men in DI?

When I was playing the Incredibles playset just now I recruited my first superhero. I immediately noticed something about him, he has a remarkable resemblance to Cyclops from the X-Men. Even when he fights he shoots red lasers just like Cyclops. Just a coincidence or a nod to the Marvel universe?

Yes, he's a nod to Cyclops. He's Gazerbeam and was shown in The Incredibles film.

Yeah, he does look like Cyclops.
