Question Regarding Abu....

When you use his power disk, does he have any special powers like invincibility or anything? Just wondering.

He's great at knocking over things! 
Other than that, he's just a huge, normal mount. Shakes the earth when he jumps. Also plays a great Adventure-land style percussion music track while you're riding, which really does add to the experience -- He almost seems to be walking in time to the music. Lots of fun. It's also funny to just watch him drop into the world.
