Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird

Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird

I just picked up the first issue of this comic. To my knowledge, this is the first Marvel crack at Disney properties albeit very obscure Disney properties. This one is just an idea that never really came into fruition. It has some interesting back story to it on how the development cycle came to be. I think it is interesting that Marvel is working directly with some of the Imagineers. I'm looking forward to the rest. It's five parts on a monthly basis. It's an All Ages title, and that makes me happy.

Meh, sounds like your average Teen novel. Rather marvel do something else Disney related the second time they attempt ro make a Disney branded Comic book series.

Marvel did do an original Toy Story story for four months in 2012. It was really good.

This was the first exposure my kids have had to the monthly comic. It must be okay. My girl was certainly interested as to what happens next, and she was mildly irritated that she has to wait a month.

This wasn't too bad of a series. I thought it ended flat, but I like the idea of what Marvel is doing. I like the more obscure side of things.

I wasn't sure if I'd like it at first, but I did like the fact they used some obscure stuff from Imagineering's past as the basis. It seemed like it was really getting somewhere, then, you're right. It ended flat. It's almost like the writer ran out of issues to tell the story, so he had to wrap it up quickly. It leaves it open for more, but I don't see this selling well enough for Marvel or Disney to be an on going title. Figment on the other hand.....
