Agreeing with a few people here. THE LONE RANGER is definitely one of the best early play-sets, and the atmospheric inclusion of the train circling the town is great. The movie is really underrated too, but westerns just don't appeal to kids any more and they would have no idea about the old black and white serial. Riding a horse down the main street and running along the top of the train are some of my fondest Infinity moments. Maybe without new content more people will return to replay the older sets, and newer community members will get to experience them for the first time.

I agree missing out on playsets on the big Disney brands like Zootopia, Frozen, Big Hero 6 was a big misstep, but I can't help but feel the big chiefs just don't get video games and look at numbers and think, its simply not profitable enough when we can license it out. Kinda wish they had starting licensing out this year, allowing things to cross over for a little, but i think the big cheeses wanted the publishing side done for a while now... regardless of how well the game sold

Yep, Lone Ranger is my favorite playset to date.I also agree that it was a huge missed opportunity on the Disney Animation Movies like Big Hero 6, Frozen, Wreck-It Raplh, Zootopia, etc. being playsets.

Picked up a 1.0 copy along with used versions of the starter three playsets and the Toy Story playset.

I'll probably pick up Lone Ranger cheap in a few months.

YOWZERS
played the toybox takeover for the first time ..... might have to use powah discs or level up BIG TIME to get through that!!!
loved that it played like an old school RPG, but SADFACE that you couldn't change the viewpoint to classic DI
i'll try the speedway and 2.0 toybox games tomorrow

and yes the 1.0 playsets are extremely good

Lone Ranger was one of the true highlights of 1.0, and I really liked the Pirates set.

For a Disney game, not having an animation playset was just mind-numbing to me. It's already been said, but the last three years of animated films could have had one. Aladdin or Nightmare Before Christmas or Tron could have done so well considering all of the assets that they had for these three titles alone.

I really wish the DI team could have done things more their way, and more fan requests had been answered without out all the corporate/marketing meddling. It's pretty clear that's what ended the game. Marvel being so difficult didn't help matters much, either. You could tell what the DI team wanted to do with their random Toy Box inclusions. They wanted to do a lot of fan service related things, and they were clearly fans of all this stuff as well.

And sadly, I'm loving the "Finding Dory" playset. They finally had a great solution o swimming. We could have had boats and Ariel, and.... *sigh*

But Dory's set is good. I love the intro for it. It reminds me of a "dark ride". It's just so well done. And now... now it's over.

I still can't believe really how much I'm still in disbelief that DI has been cancelled. Like it still hasn't set in for me and I just can't understand it. Out of all the failed video games Disney Interactive made over the years, DI was the exception. It had everything. All the toys were incredibly detailed, the fact that there was so much history behind random toys and power discs, it just had all the ingredients of a great game. I honestly wish people would boycott going to the parks in reference to this, so they could see how stupid of a decision this was and bring it back. But we all know neither is going to happen. I just need to abandon the hope that this could be revived. Normally I lose interest in the game, but once new characters and playsets come out my interests come back. Guess that's why I keep coming here hoping for some good news because I'm currently enjoying playing through finding dory and playing with the alice characters. But thankfully time heals all wounds, and its gonna take a lot of time for me :(
