Steve tried custom figures!

Been inspired by some pics on here and decided to have a play with some figures. Going to try my own light fx at some point, but started with a simple Ahsoka repose

And whilst I had the lightsaber loose I thought I'd try it elsewhere

I'm thinking about a bit of cut and shut customing using Poe, Luke and Finn.

Move Poes head onto Finn and paint his hands, Rebel Jacket Poe.

Lukes head onto Poe, repose his arm and add lightsaber and we have Pilot Suit Luke

Finns head onto the spare Luke body, add his blaster and resculpt as a stormtrooper, possibly steal the stormtrooper helmet off Sabines Base to put on his head

Cool, I haven't tried re-posing yet. Did you just use brute force or warm the figures first. I straightened a Gammora sword with a hairdryer and a bulldog clip.

Boiling water was the weapon of choice, just done the same to remove Anakins lightsaber, going to work on dismantling the whole figure and wiring him up, possibly with a from scratch lightsaber made from clear acrylic rod with a red led in it

Looks like pretty good work so far. I would love to see an Ahsoka with Light FX.

If you were to do one of the "kit bash" type of customs you mentioned (like Lukes head on Poe's body) would you also transfer the base so that when played the correct character would appear? I know you cannot alter the digital representation, but in the case of X-Wing Luke you could still use a power disc.

Hi Kessel,

If I did the chop and swap custom for Luke I'd apply boiling water to the Base and remove it to get the tags out, I'd probably put the tag from the pilot suit disc in there too to cause the appearance change to automatically apply.
The resistance jacket and stormtrooper customs have discs too and I'd do the same

Hey that is really cool. I have made some custom action figures in the past but never anything with lights. After what you said about removing the tags from inside the base I'm very tempted to take one apart.
