Packs and Tools Manager

Description This tool enables the player to have packs and tools and sets what packs and tools are available to the player when they start. The magic wand is always available - even in game mode with the Toybox Game maker set to disable it, but in that scenario, they wouldn't be able to do anything with it. A toybox game maker is NOT required to have this creativi-tool work, but generally the Toy Box Game Maker is also present & active to prevent magic wand editing.

Properties None

Set Packs and Tools Set what packs and tools are available to the player here. The magic wand is always available, other packs and tools can be added or removed.

Inputs
Activate Activates the tool. While active, only packs and tools you provided in the "Set Packs and Tools" menu option are available to the player.
De-activate All packs and tools are available to the player (that they have unlocked)

Outputs
Activated Fires an event when this tool is activated
Deactivated Fires and event when this tool is deactivated.

Example

you want to have the player be able to use the Paint Ball Gun and the Buzz Lightyear JetPack only.

Place a button and the Packs and Tools Manager. (normally rather than the button you would use a level starter, trigger area or some other creativi-toy to activate this)

Packs and Tools Manager:Set Packs and Tools == Click the plus sign and add the Paint Ball Gun and Buzz Lightyear JetPack

Button:Pressed ==> Packs and Tools Manager:Activate

Now when the player brings up the Packs and tools , only the Magic Wand, Paint Ball Gun, and Buzz Lightyear Jetpack will be available to them. They may have to swap it into one of the empty slots to see it so it may help if you need to educate them its available that you mention this with a text creator or something. No other Packs or Tools will be available unless the Manager is Deactivated.

^ Thanks much for helping out with these guides (and the heads-up on the forum ordering ;) ).

Is there a way for the Packs & Tools Manager to auto-equip characters? The Dream Master toy box seemed to do this with the Light Saber pack - or perhaps I didn't notice an Object Generator along the way?

@goofyspaceranger - I use the Packs and Tools Manager for my Not the Mama! toy box to auto equip the players with a frying pan pack.

You set the tool or pack as default (when you configure the Manager), it will auto-equip that. Since you can't set two items to both be default, you can't set a Tool AND a Pack to auto-equip.

Is there any way to determine what packs and tools are generated in a loot chest or an object generator? Is there any way to have power disc tools and packs generated through a chest or object generator?

I'm trying to use this method to auto-equip the sword from the Sword and Stone set piece without success. Anyone managed to do this or have an idea how to do it?

(I'm also trying to auto-assign a sidekick.)
