Futurama Trading Card game: Fact or Hoax?

I thought about how Futurama doesn't have anything collectible, and I thought a figure game wouldn't work due to the limited amount of characters.
So I thought: what about a trading card game?
I Googled, and it turns out that there may in fact be a trading card game.
However, the site confirming this seems a little sketchy.

Maybe it is right then, but that particular site seems dodgy.

I agree, that and the reason the show is to be cancelled soon makes me a bit curious.
It is supposedly being created by Wizards of the Coast, who make Pokemon cards.

It turns out that particular announcement is dated to 2002. Oops.
I will try to find a more recent article.

I believe a long time ago Starbucks sold a board game with futurama. Sometimes in big locations they sell stuff like that. Then again it was around 2006 when I saw it.
