Farewell, Toontown

Farewell, Toontown

Postby Flynn. » Thu Sep 19, 2013 8:54 pm

This afternoon, the MMO made for young Disney fans closed.

It lived an entire decade, and I started playing it when it came out, as a six year old. I quit when I was ten, but this game still holds a dear place in my heart and I am sad to see it leave. Perhaps any parents on the forums have had to deal with the cries of the younglings? Perhaps it isn't THAT popular that anyone could relate.

So long, Toontown. You were apart of my Disney childhood :)

This is very sad news indeed! I grew up playing Toontown, and am very sad to see it leave! I still have the starter box, just saw it yesterday....and thought "I wonder how Toontown is nowadays?" guess not well! This game has so many unforgettable childhood memories! Farewell, Toontown...you will surely be missed! And Flynn., Thanks for posting...

This was a fun game, sad to see it close. Hopefully they can make a Flippy and a Cog figure for Infinity.

I played this game at Innoventions at Epcot. They were testing it out on the public as a game of capture the flag. I then trialed the game when it was about to be released, but didn't subscribe.

I remember seeing the ads on tv, but having no PC at that time, was unable to play it. such a pity, as it looked so good.

I played it and enjoyed it so much! I guess that it wasn't so popular anymore

Ah, the memories of Toontown. I remember playing it when I was a kid. :) It's sad that it's gone but will remember this game as part of Disney history.
