Warning: Upcoming Mini-Rant!
Wwaaaaah all the cosplays sort of creep me out.
I don't mind people cosplaying the characters or anything but I think that they're just too unrealistic to cosplay accurately, and of course it can't be 100% accurate, but for some reason it looks a bit weird with WIR characters in particular to me. They have really huge or really tiny noses(and Sour Bill doesn't even have one, not that you can have disembodied floating limbs IRL), and you just can't cosplay that correctly.
Older Sugar Rush racers (besides King Candy... XD) also bother me in the same way, because video game characters in the WIR universe, canonically, don't age.
Also, as long as we're talking about the fandom, Hero's Duty as a game needs more love. I see people wanting the FIFJR cabinet or a proper Sugar Rush one, and never Hero's Duty. If it were an actual FPS arcade cabinet, I'd be happily broke. I don't understand how there are entire followings for the Sugar Rush racers who didn't even have any lines, but nobody ever talks about Hero's Duty.
I think that the worst part of the fandom, though, are the
Turbo fangirls. I like Turbo, and I'm a girl, but sometimes they make me scared to be in the same fandom. The whole place is less friendly than it was at first, sadly. You have people who are punching the Vanellope fans, you have Vanellope fans who are too uptight against people that don't like her, you have people generalising everyone who likes King Candy as a fangirl... It was better when it started. I thought that this movie was about accepting people for who they are and realising the consequences your actions can have. :< It's sort of the Brony fandom, but tuned Down To Eleven.
