Yeah, it's kinda strange. I really do wish they stayed more to the source material with the new Pac-Man TV show. I personally think the Hanna Barbara TV show stayed true to the original video game but was still original.

I'm still confused as to why they redesigned him, but apparently the original design was "too old", so they opted to make him younger.
But they don't realize he is already married with children.
