I've actually heard that some people made a real-life invisibility cloak. No idea if it's true, though.

Making this kind of stuff real... It both scares and awes me thinking of the possibilities!

How come does Making Ice Powers a Reality both Scare and Awe you thinking of the possibilities?

^ Well, just think about all the things that've happened when we have made technological advancements in the past... The almost always lead to some new problems or debates or controversies... And a theoretical freeze ray (which is how I imagine us making ice powers into reality) would basically just function as a weapon, with little other use. Think about it.

As for invisibility cloaks, I can just imagine that bad people would get their hands on them to do bad things if we could all have them. Even if they were limited to certain people I'm sure they'd find their way out somehow.

But if they actually managed to make either of those it would be amazing... I just don't see much use for a freeze ray outside of the coolness factor(pun intended). However, I think I can see use for an invisibility cloak in certain jobs but I just get the feeling it'd be more trouble than it was worth.

(Also, just a disclaimer: I didn't actually watch the video you linked to, so sorry if I'm missing something.)

Would a theoretical freeze ray built into a ring work?
