Mario Kart (Series General)

I think... I'll pass on this XD Don't know if we'll have a want to get a WiiU yet, but I've always been a failface when it comes to mario kart (i think i've only won a single race in my entire life >.<)

^What even 50cc races? Hmmm... play with confidence! Bash the others out of the way (best to use a character with a large kart), use your items strategically, use short cuts... and do tricks for turbo boosts! Ahahahaaaa! (But then my advice probably isn't the best, my motto on the track is; 'drive aggressively and win'.)

Then again... what Mario Kart game have you played? As I've only played Wii and DS I am unsure on the difficultly level on the older games. I came in late with Nintendo games unfortunately.

And randomly... I have to say that the Wii Rainbow Road is the best track ever! :D And Wreck-it Ralph referenced it! Ahhhh! I wonder what Mario Kart 8's Rainbow Road will be like!?

Mostly played the Super Nintendo version, though I vaguely remember having my butt whooped on either a gamecube or 64 version

I want a wii u to now!

I can't wait for this game to come out next year and I hope Funky Kong returns

Mario Kart 8 Releasing in May, Greater Focus on GamePad, NFC Game Announcements Coming at E3

During Nintendo's investor briefing, company president Satoru Iwata announced that Mario Kart 8 will be launching in May.

The release of this Wii U-exclusive racer is a huge deal, as the Mario Kart franchise is the Big N's biggest seller. With the console currently struggling to gain traction among consumers, hopefully a recognizable franchise like Mario Kart will be enough to put more people over the edge, causing a much needed spike in hardware sales.

In addition, the Nintendo exec also confirmed that the company will place a greater emphasis on capitalizing on the GamePad's unique feature set from here on out. In addition, games that make use of the controller's NFC capabilities will be revealed at E3.
