Super Smash broke my circle pad...

So I was playing super smash in my 3DS XL and the circle pad came off... the stick part is still working, but the cover popped out. it feels uncomfortable to play like this, and I might damage it . I don't think fixing it with super glue is a good idea. any suggestions? has this happened to you?

At least you didn't snap the hinge and brake your 3ds while raging

I checked that out a few hours ago, but it says that I can't flip the screen if I use that. There were 7, now there is 5! looks like this is becoming quite common. I'm going for the super glue for now...

Don't know of its the same for the 3ds but with other controllers its just a matter of opening it and swapping out the stick, if that doesn't sorry you give it a try maybe?

I used crazy glue to fix it, works as if it had never come off! I'm still worried it might come off when trying to free myself from boss galaga or the beetle.
