Disney Infinity Fans

After using the ps4 and really enjoying it, the PlayStation TV has really caught my eye. For my situation, the PS TV makes sense. I can play my ps4, even if the TV that it is hooked up to is being used. Another advantage is that I would have an excuse to buy the vita starter pack and get the wireless base and the varient spider-man. One question that I have, is if you need to have the ps4 on to do remote play. If any of you guys use it and have some feedback for me I would really appreciate it. I'm strongly considering getting it because of the price drop on the bundle. $99 for PS TV, 8 GB storage,2 video games, dualshock 3 and all of the cables to connect to the TV.
