LEGO Jurassic World

I honestly can not wait for this game. I think the dinosaurs will add a very fun dynamic to the way the game plays.

I didn't know Lego Jurassic park was something I needed, but now I know.

LEGO Jurassic World is out today, June 12th!
I just picked it up at Gamestop, excuse me while I go play it

I expect mine to arrive today! Looking forward to it, I'm a big Jurassic Park fan. Also going to watch Jurassic World today.

So far, this is turning out to be a fantastic Lego game. Considering that they were using audio straight from the movies like they did with LOTR, I was curious to see how they would add their unique Lego humor to the Jurassic world. I think what the ended up doing worked really well. They combined voice-overs from the actors with new dialogue from the supporting cast. Allot of the INGEN employees have some hilarious lines. The line in the first mission about "not licking the end of the stun rod" had me in tears.

I've only played through the first three movies, but so far everything is spot on. As you would expect, they nailed the most iconic scenes from the movies. The stalled car with the T-Rex scene was just about as perfect as you could get. But what has stolen the show so far, was the first time the raptors jump out at you. I think that might be the first time a Lego game went for a jump scare. That entire round and the round with the kids escaping through the kitchen have been my favorites so far.

They also have thrown in a few new gameplay tweaks here and there. Playing as the dinos is a blast and who doesn't like diving into a pile of poo. Actually, considering that most of the previous Lego games featured super-heroes and similar characters, I think they did a good job giving the regular humans skills. Just about every previous Lego ability is represented somehow.

Add the open world hub and dino creation and you got a real winner.
