Wii U Gamepad L stick trouble

Postby fdanielix » Sun Mar 01, 2015 6:55 pm

My Left stick seems to be broken... it appears to be slightly inclined to the left and when I push it towards any side it has a delay and after it goes back to neutral position it also keeps pushing in that direction. I am unable to build in Disney Infinity and if I send it to Nintendo I'll miss many challenges... Is it a good idea to open it and try to fix it myself? Any suggestions?

no you shouldn't try fixing it yourself that can cause many other problems
I just suggest sending it to Nintendo
if you have a wii remote and nunchuk you can build with that
hope this helps

I would have to build as player 2, which limits my view...

I open all my electronics and fix myself but not everyone is OK with that. I'd look into videos on how easy or hard it is to open and replace the button and judge for yourself if its worth it. It will void any warranty you have though

I'm pretty sure that if you use another remote to get into the game, that remote is the 1st player's. So you can play the game without the GamePad. The problem is, I'm not sure the Wii U will function if it can't find a pad to connect to.
