Spyro the Dragon Series

Thought I'd make a thread dedicated to Spyro games.

I for one think that Spyro is still a wonderful franchise that needs to have games again.

Replayed the original ones back, but I only like the first now, mnyeh

Edit: I started replaying the games after YoTD.

ETD was completely... Something. The glitches weren't as bad as some say, it was just way too short and utterly average. You get a lacklustre but pretty game a a result.
SoI was terrible. This is the first time I finished the game. I am up for a challenging game, but this is not a challenging game, but a game with challenging- frustrating, out-of-whack- controls.
SoF fixed so much that was terrible about SoI. A good platformer, overall. Nothing amazing, but better than passable(which every game to this point besides STD was, in my opinion).
Fusion was mediocre, not terrible, but just pointless and repetitive...
Adventure was okay. It felt dragged out, but the gameplay was nice. It's just not memorable in any manner, though.

I'm currently replaying AHT. It's amazing so far! It's not the same caliber as the first game, but I like it much better than the others. Spyro just lacked so much personality after STD, until this point(and then lost it again in Shadow Legacy, the next game ).

Seriously, who's making topics about my childhood games and brushing them off? :/
Anyway, another game I played as a kid and managed to get my stepbrother into.
He knew about Spyro through Skylanders, and one of the Legend of Spyro games.
He got me to play Dawn of the Dragon with him, and all I have to say is HOLY BROKEN!
Seriously! I couldn't move without Cynder stopping to clap her wings like a moron! I know that's how she blocks because of how I was holding the nunchuck, but it is soooo uncomfortable to hold it horizontally!
Anyway, I showed him Enter the Dragonfly, and he... Seemed pretty cool with it.
He was questioning why I was asking why Sparx had hands and why Hunter looked like... That...
But he concluded that he will willingly play any Spyro game.
As was I.
Until I played Season of Ice.
That whole game made no sense.

Just recently downloaded the original trilogy onto my PS3 for my partner. It still plays as well as I remember so I may have to complete them all over again.

Where are the games like this nowadays?
MPK for short.

^Getting turned into franchises to get more money out of them.
Prime examples are the Call of Duty series and the Skylanders series. Both were critically acclaimed, and now they do everything they can to get more money.

Spryo has a connection with myself and with my brother and sister! First proper game series that we loved deeply.

The best of the original trilogy:
1. Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer (UK Title).
2. Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon.
3. Spryo the Dragon.

Sad what has happened since to the franchise. I'm not in favor of Skylanders, and he has been just swept aside with
other characters. Activison needs to revise the franchise!

I've been interested in replying the original Spyro and Crash games, mostly Year of the Dragon and Bash. I'm considering a PS4 purchase, mostly to download the original games and play them there. Does the PS4 have PSX Classics on the PSN Store?
