@toops This is a reply to your PM, because for some reason it takes days for messages to go through my outbox.
I had my status set to "open" before I opened the gate, because you can't use the Home button while the gate is open.
It seems like you're trying to visit now, but I keep getting errors... I just don't know what went wrong! :( My Internet has been bad for the past few days.

gotcha. well if you need to re-add me for the messenger let me know. i don't really want to hang around if i'm just going to keep disconnecting and erasing anything you do, that would not be cool :P
otherwise we can work it out and do some island games soon.

I think the error wiped you from my BF list :(
My gate disconnected again, I'll give it one more shot, but I'm probably going to go to the island after that. My goal is to make paths in my town with bushes. :D That way everyone can run around in the path without a really ugly grass deterioration.

i really want to see that when it's done. i've been thinking about the same thing with bushes and cobblestone patterns, but my town isn't flushed out enough to get it going quite yet.
grass decay is the worst feature..

Yeah, I've been saving medals to buy as many bushes as possible when they're on sale. Luckily, you can shovel them up, so I can replace them with better ones later(hydrangea FTW!). I don't understand why they don't just have a grass seed at Leif's shop since it would be so helpful. A least it's better than City Folk, but it still isn't great for me because I like playing a few times a day and each time you boot up your town causes wear.

Heck, someone had to do this to their City Folk town:

Nearly all of the grass is just made from patterns.
In theory it could be an awesome feature, but ultimately, just doesn't work.
