Well there has been WindWaker HD and Hyrule Warriors.
One was just a remake and the other was a spinoff, so we have not had a true Wii U Zelda title yet.

Yep, like Stitch said. There is no real new LoZ game on the Wii U. I've been waiting for it since launch day when I bought the console. That or a new Metroid Prime style game would make me really happy.
A lot of good 1st party games on the Wii U, but its missing my favorites right now. These are all very good games IMO: Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Island, Mario 3D World, Captain Toad is entertaining and nice when you want to game just for a few minutes... I'm not a fan of Smash Bros, but I agree that its very well produced.

They claimed that they wouldn't show it since they wanted to focus on games coming out in 2015/early 2016 the latest. The Legend of Zelda Wii U got delayed until later in 2016, so they decided not to show it at E3 this year.
