Famitsu Will Publish News About The Legend of Zelda for Wii U on November 5th

Earlier today the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed that on November 5th they will be publishing an interview with Eiji Aonuma, Shiro Mouri, and Hiromasa Shikata. The interview is focusing on the upcoming Zelda title, Tri Force Heroes, but it was specifically mentioned that it would briefly touch on news for other Zelda games in development for Wii U. This includes Zelda U, as well as whatever will come for the 30th Zelda Anniversary.

Aonuma Teases Surprise Twist for Zelda Wii U’s Open World
Zelda's producer wants to implement something new into every game.

Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma is aware of the fan response to Zelda: Skyward Sword, and he wants to put a unique spin on the concept of an open world game.

“We actually had some feedback from Skyward Sword, where people were saying, 'This is not exactly the Zelda game I was looking for, I was looking for a bigger open world.'" Aonuma told IGN. “Unfortunately, I can’t go into details but I’m hoping to put a surprise, or kind of a twist, on my view of an open world game. I hope that you’ll look forward to it.”

Aonuma acknowledged the development team reads a lot of what fans think about the series, but not all of their feedback will make it into future Zelda games.

“If we put all the feedback the fans write directly into the game, there won’t be an element of surprise,” he said. “If there’s a comment and they’re asking for certain element, I would think, 'Oh, why not interpret this in a different way that you wouldn’t expect?' That’s how we create a new element in a Zelda game. I always want to implement something new and surprising into every game.“

“... I’m hoping to put a surprise, or kind of a twist, on my view of an open world game.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is already out in Japan!! I'm very nervous about it. I can't wait to have it in my hand in march. Is anybody else excited about it?

I am really wondering if the WiiU Zelda game that we have been hearing about before the system launched will even come out on WiiU. Information on the NX is getting closer and closer to being revealed. Assuming it is a new system, it would almost not make sense to release a giant mamoth game like Zelda when the fait of the system has been all but declared.

Nintendo confirmed it will come out on Wii U as well.
Imagine it like Twilight Princess, that came out on both Gamecube and Wii (And now it is being remastered for Wii U lol).
