Disney Infinity Fans

I didn't see a topic about this, so I decided to make one. I just got Awakening today, but I'm not allowed to play it till tommorow. Is it any good? All I know about the franchise is what I've learned from Smash Bros and an hour or so on Fire Emblem Wiki. I know that Marth, Ike, Lucina, Robin, Chrom, Roy, and Lyn are the main characters, and that it's really popular in Japan, and one of the best SRPG's out there. Anything else I should know before jumping in?

You should know that every game (mostly) is set in a different universe, so you won't see, say, Marth interacting with Ike.
Character deaths are permanent, so try to keep your guys alive
Also there's a bunch of Japanese games that never got released. If you can read Japanese they're worth a playthrough.

I can't read Japanese but I wish I could! Having a lot of fun with the game, I'm on Chapter Six.

Fire Emblem Awakening is one of my favorite 3DS games, currently tied with Pokemon Y, but will likely be surpassed by Smash Bros. 3DS.

It's just amazing. Like, words can't describe. Smash Bros introduced me to the series, and though I've only played Awakening, it's just a matter of me trying to find the older games to give them a playthrough, haha. That being said, since the new Smash game is to have Marth, Ike, Lucina, and Robin, I'm quite excited. Shame that Chrom couldn't be there as well. He was my favorite, haha.

So where do you think the story is going next? A sequel to Awakening, following the sequels to Shadow Dragon and Path of Radiance, or somewhere entirely new? Not counting SMTxFE, that is.

i started fire emblem with path of radiance. i love the series. however i'm not a big fan of direct sequels, i'd rather they just move on to new stories and characters. and awakening was amazing and i'm glad more and more people are getting into it! i was super surprised they added ike to brawl and way happy that we're up to 4 reps in smash now. the games are great and they deserve the recognition

Right now I'm trying to find Shadow Dragon, with no luck. I know some say it's not really up to par with recent Fire Emblem games, but hey, may as well give it a shot!

Nintendo 3DS - Fire Emblem Teaser Trailer

This topic should be a lot more active... with the success of awakening and the new teaser trailer for the new installment. The only thing I want to stay the same is the S relationships and a My Unit character, it really helps to get into the story.

If only the new Fire Emblem game was in HD on the Wii U…
