Parental sub forum

Postby paulyp1919 » Tue Aug 06, 2013 8:48 am

It might be nice to have a parent section on these boards. I have a 3yo boy and a 1yo girl.

Discussions could be how well your child adapts to the game or things to avoid while playing with them.

Also there may be curious parents out there that wonder if this is appropriate for thier child.

Could be a worthwhile topic PaulyP.
I have a very excited 8yr old who is looking forward to Infinity (almost as much as I am!). He spends a fair bit of time playing Minecraft at the moment and we've just spent the last two years playing Skylanders Co-Op together.
It looks as though the challenge presented by Infinity will go from very easy to incredibly complex however, so it may be useful having somewhere to discuss strategy.
Remember, this all started with a Mouse.

I'm no parent but this idea does sound good. It kid help the kid and parent understand , learn, bond etc.
Kinda tired.
Chat with me If you're tired too.

I find that my boy gets angry when his in-game character dies.

Maybe other parents could tell me how they delt with game frustrations with their kids.

Maybe suggestions to help build confidence with which characters to use in DI.

Could talk about what character your kid wants the most. (My boy loves WIR)

I turn the game off if my five year old throws a fit if he loses or his character dies. I don't let him win either.

My son is most excited to play as Agent P, but out of all of the launch characters he surprisingly liked playing as Randall the most today at the D23 Expo.

^Agreed my wife and I take the game away when it quits being fun.

***Joking- Your child favoring the bad guy a bad thing? Just wondering... (WIR - "Just because I am a bad guy... Doesn't mean I'm a 'BAD GUY' ")

On topic- Using things discussed so far I this would be the useful. With an open mind!

I was playing an old game today that seemed to make my child too excited.
