Copying reply box glitches out on iPad mini?

I'm not sure if this affects regular-sized iPads because ours is inaccessible right now, but whenever I try to copy something I'm writing in the message box, this happens:

The writing line will become supersized, and go to the leftmost of the post. The result is that nothing is copied from the post at all! Pressing "Paste" will just paste whatever was last copied instead of anything on the post! I know that it wasn't like this a while before, but I don't know when the problem started. It could be a result of my changing something, but I don't remember altering any settings recently.

Also, for the record, I like Android better- it's the rest of my family that prefers Apple!

I have had this issue before on my iPad Nibelilt. It is not the pasting that is the problem but rather the copying. Instead of just copying the highlighted text it seems to copy everything and displays a blue line down the side, like your picture. It doesn't happen all of the time and I didn't really look into it enough to figure out why it happened. If it ever happens again I'll look into it.

It happens literally every time on mine, though. In fact, it's happening in the Quick Reply box right now...
