Disney Infinity Fans

As most of you probably know, the last stop on the Disney Infinity Tour is in New York City. Saturday the 17th at Nintendo World and Sunday the 18th at Toys R Us in Times Square. Considering that this is launch weekend, I had guessed that these events would be bigger than the other stops on the tour. Then I saw this on the Nintendo World website...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember hearing about Disney sketch artists or the Avalanche Studio team at any other stop. Disney Infinity also sent out a tweet that Radio Disney will be there. Maybe even some Disney Channel stars?

I'm not sure which day I'm going yet, but I am definitely going to one of them! Well as of now I am lol.

Is anyone else here planning on going?

I would love to go! I really wish I could! Are they giving out figures that aren't at other stores?

I don't think they are giving out any free figures. If you buy the starter pack, you get a free figure, but that is the same offer as other stores. No "Nintendo World" exclusive, unfortunately.

It does say a giveaway, so I did not know if it might be figures...

They had sketch artists at the San Diego stop. One day they handed out sketches that were already done, the other day you actually told them which character you wanted and they would do it for you on the spot

^^ The giveaways are the swag bag that other members have recieved. comes with a tote bag, hat, t-shirt, pin, etc. I THINK this is what the giveaway will be again. I can't see them giving away free figures the day before launch. They wanna make money!

At D23, they gave out one of 5 free figures. At SDCC they did have the sketch artists.

The usual stops on the tour were bag, tshirt, button. However, this is release weekend so they are probably going to amp things up. I would expect a more controlled environment like Nintendo World to possible have more to offer... at least part of it, if not all of it, can be held indoors.

Times Square, on the other hand... probably looking at a similar event to the rest of the Tour. Radio Disney was tweeted to be at that event, and i did not hear them to be at Nintendo World. Radio Disney was at Taste of Chicago with the Tour, and just played music next to the booth.

John Vignocchi confirmed in the Giant Bomb interview from today that he'll be there, so that's pretty awesome! He also said that they are totally taking over Times Square so I expect the event to be HUGE!

Yea, every post I have seen mentioned says "Times Square", not "Toys "R" Us".... I'm expecting it to be outside in the middle of Times Square, like all of the other big launches and events they have had there. Holding it inside TRU would be silly, as the store is very cramped to begin with.
