Disney Infinity Tour in NYC

Don't quote me on this, but I believe there are events at both the Nintendo Store as well as the Disney Store in Times Square on launch day.

Nintendo World will be having their release party on Saturday the 17th, where you can even purchase the game for Nintendo consoles a day early. Event held from 9am-3pm.

Times Square will be host of the release event for Sunday. Event runs from 2pm-7pm. From the tweets the Disney Infinity has been posting, I am under the assumption that they are closing down part of Times Square itself for the event. This is not uncommon, as I have been to many events in Times Square where this is the case.

The Toys R Us website clearly says it is at Toys R Us. If I had to guess, I'd say different areas of Times Square are having different things. Either way it is very exciting!

I don't read in that description anything about the special giveaways and demos you can do. It is just another way of stating that they will be open at 8am, just like all of the other stores...

This was just posted by Disney Infinity last night:

"RT if you are joining @DisneyInfinity in Times Square on Sunday from 2-7pm! Don't miss your chance to demo, grab free swag and more!"

Based off that, I don't think the event will be held inside TRU.

^ I posted that same Toys R Us statement in the first post of this topic. This is the last stop of the Disney Infinity Tour, so if it is anything like the others, there will be free stuff. As for where it is located, it can easily be inside Toys R Us. I don't know if you have actually ever been to the one in Times Square, but it is TREMENDOUS. Easily enough room to have this inside. It is also just as easy to have it be partially or fully outside as well.

In the end, it doesn't even matter. I'm going either way and I'll be sure to report back afterwards.

Disney Infinity just posted a map of the Times Square event on Sunday. It will be held in the middle of Times Square between the Disney Store and the Marriott Marquis hotel.

Do you have a copy of the map? Where did you find it?
