Cars play set to be available at launch

As UK online retailer Smyths shows placeholder images for single character figures of Francesco Bernoulli and Mater, indications point towards the Disney Infinity Cars play set being available at launch

hmm i would've assumed the playset would come with lightning and mater but i don't see a lightning. unless the ones that come in the playset don't come as singles in which case i'm curious as to who else with lightning you would get?

Yeah, I'm guessing that there are gonna be two or three more sets than the starter pack at launch, and the characters will only be released after their play sets. If Cars is listed, I wouldn't be surprised to see it on day one. (On a side note, Franceso is awesome and Cars 2 gets way too much hate )
I expect Toy Story, because that's been a sort of heavily marketed as part of the game.
I don't really mind when but I'm hoping that someone can make the launch listing clear. Especially the tokens, since those come in blind bags, so it'll end up being ludicrous to track those if one lacks a list.

If Francesco and Mater are singles, I expect Lightning and Holly to come with the playset.

If I'm not mistaken, each playset comes with two figures.

block with 3 worlds in it (also known as a playsetpiece)

so for example
its a block with:
cars , phineas and ferb, toy story
the you'll probably get
mcqueen,phineas and buzz and that block
then you buy the additional toys sperately like
Mater, perry, woody etc.
Thats why mcqueen isn't listed
and i think holly will probably be a mission giver or something like edna mode
but i might be wrong

each play set will have 1 location piece and 2 characters. only the starter pack location piece has 3 locations combined into 1 piece

I wonder whether this info was gathered from another fan forum...

The playset will almost definitely contain Lightning and Holly. I thought that it would be Lightning and Mater but I could see all of the playsets having a male character and the corresponding female character just for balance sake.

I think that the last playset will be Wreck-It-Ralph, just as it is Disney and it is their newest IP, but it could also be Nightmare Before Christmas simply for its appearance in the trailers and its uniqueness. Just my two cents.
