Disney Infinity 2.0 event update: One Topic For Everything

^ Disney is smart. There is no way they would alienate the early adopters of this game. You can bet that just like Skylanders did they will release some kind of "Portal Owner's" pack that just comes with the game, 3 figures & Stark Tower.

Now the only question is what their plan is to transer toy box data from a PS3 to someone upgrading to PS4...

I don't even want to try worrying about that right now.

I think it's going to be like, you can transfer figurines and game progress for your figurines but not the game itself. unless you sign into your profile on the console, you won't be able to keep all of your content. that's how it is for the PC and tablet versions. You can keep your toy boxes and toys but like you'd have to replay playsets. it's simple and it makes sense that that would be the way it goes.

Yeah, J03Y is right. They said as long as you have the same Disney ID, you can re-download them to your new console.

@candyle73- I'm thinking they may offer the standard "Starter Pack" for those just entering the DI world and an "Expansion Pack" which would be the Starter Pack without the portal/base for early adopters.

If we move to a new console (I'm looking at getting the XBox One for 2.0), has it been mentioned whether the play sets from my 360 still be compatible? I know we will possibly have to play through them again, however will we keep all of the stuff I've already unlocked playing them the first time?

It's been said in another topic Play Sets won't be compatible, BUT if you put the Play Set piece on the base in 2.0 you will unlock all the toys from that Play Set, you just won't be able to play it.
