THE GOOD DINOSAUR CHALLENGE

For the Good Dinosaur Challenge, make a Toy Box inspired by the new Disney•Pixar film, The Good Dinosaur, in theaters November 25th. All Toy Boxes are due by Wednesday, 12/9 at noon PT. Be sure to use #GoodDinoChallenge in the description of your Toy Box to be considered!

Since this is the "Hour of Code" week around the world, I have very happily submitted the "Programming Plateaus" #ToyBoxTutorial for this week's #GoodDinoChallenge. It's a sequel to the "Innovation Isles (3.0 Remix)". See Spot code .

It's up Programming Plateaus

I'm really excited about this tutorial format. I'll be making another set of video tutorials from partial walkthroughs of this new box on the IBM ODC YouTube Channel, and have already started designing my next #ToyBoxTutorial with more complex "design patterns". It's worked really well with our Toy Box Clubs for the structured part of our computer science instruction, using each video as a demo, followed by the students doing the lab. And with the searchable #ToyBoxTutorial hash tag, the whole list of boxes can be found on consoles in homes.

I wonder if Disney Interactive would ever consider referencing the IBM ODC YouTube Channel & the Toy Box Club Activity Kit. They're already out there in the public domain as a corporate citizenship resource. As the Jiminy of Umbrellas might say - "No Strings" .

I miss having more than a 4 comments on Toy Box challenge topics.

The player's experience changes depending on the season and time of day! The Fall version is my favorite. There's also a MightyGitis easter egg in there...

Adding a post to this topic because 2 posts for a toy box challenge is pretty sad. I also submitted a toy box for this challenge based on my favorite scene from the movie. Will post details when it is available for download.

What's going on? Have people moved on to other things or is this just a slow challenge.

I believe its a slow challenge. The last challenge 43 entries which was a pretty decent turnout. So far counting 15 entries.

@pjhaan had to because it's a game for the leaderboard but if before you start the challenge you reset gameplay you should be able to get the wand out. In theory.
