Basically Disney have shut down LucasArts and development has stopped on Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars First Assault. The will license out Star Wars games to other developers and use the LucasArts name as the licensor.

On one hand we could get some top quality Star Wars games in the future.

On the other hand "LUCASARTS IS NO MORE. I HATE YOU DISNEY" waaaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaa *sniff*

I played Battlefront 2, with my brother, all the time on the PS2. Looking at the disc I'm suprised that it still works.

Force Unleashed was a great game but Force Unleashed 2 was a massive let down. I played it without reading any reviews and was shocked at how short it was and how bad the Darth Vader fight is.

From what I heard Disney will be putting games under the Lucas Arts name at some point despite the fact Lucas Arts wont be making them. Also you have to understand that Lucas Arts lost so much money from The Old Republic. They spent $300 Million developing it and plus The Force Unleashed 2 had such poor sales. They were hurting in the end.

I heard that First Assualt was the precursor to Battlefront III. It is a big loss to Star Wars and Battlefront fans alike.

Did they cancell the game studio or the movie studio?
