I haven't watched Gravity Falls or Wander Over Yonder, but I've seen some eps of Fish Hooks and hated them. Honestly... I don't even remember what the show was about, just the design of the main character.

I like Phineas and Ferb a lot, but I agree that it gets repetitive. They should build up something totally new in there. S1 is still my favourite just because that's when it actually (by virtue of being the first) had the most new stuff, and didn't change too much later. But it's certainly not bad from the eps I've seen(up to about S4). I like the character synergy and pure "coolness"/child wonder nostalgia of the show, and I like most of the cast. I just dislike how the formula is pretty much the same in so many episodes. Don't know if the show is still good or not.

Wait though, aren't you forgetting about the Mickey Mouse shorts? Don't know if that counts but they seem good.

One complaint I have is that I wish they would make less school-kid-involving cartoons, where the main characters are still in school. A show isn't nessicarily going to suck if it does have it, but just changing that aspect can really change the tone of the show. I can't quite explain it, but it just makes me feel differently about the characters. Usually, they won't put school age kids in really grim situations(but they seem to have done that in GF, so I will give them props for that).
Heck, they even had an Emperor's Groove spin off where the gimmick was Kuzco getting sent back to college. Just saying, it would be a nice breath of fresh air to see another Gargoyles-esque cartoon pop up on their line(and it's one of the reasons I'm curious to watch WOY and- especially- Gravity Falls, which seem to have pretty much no relation to homework... I watch cartoons when I don't want to think about school ugh!).

I think all Disney Cartoons are good. Here are my top five:
1. Gravity Falls :D
2. Phineas & Ferb :)
3. Wander Over Yonder ;)
4. Mickey Mouse (the shorts, not the baby version) :|
5. Fish Hooks :(

^Save an image to your PC, resize it to 150x150 or smaller, go to user control panel, edit avatar, find the avatar you saved and upload it.

On Topic: I really don't think they're running ideas out for cartoons. The only one I can say that is bland and dry is Fish Hooks.

But have they actually made a new one?

If they're not making new cartoons, then they really are out of ideas!

Ideally, to get back on the bandwagon, they need to make several cartoons, all quality!

Whoa- easy there sir.
They can't make too many at once, could they?

I'm just going by the baseline Disney established during their heyday.

I didn't approve of some of their shows, but they had around 10 series or so running more or less concurrently.
Compare that to their current list of 3, that's 30%.

So, something must be wrong if they're not managing to sustain their prior level of output.
What that might be, I do not know.

Could it be something to do with lack of creators?
As I understand the process, someone has to come up with an idea, pitch it to Disney and then get it accepted.
If there's not enough people doing this, naturally, you won't have many shows.
Conversely, there could be many pitches made, but the ideas weren't deemed good enough, so the production deal wasn't made.

Kids would get bored because there were too many shows? :?
I don't follow the logic on that one.
