Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Just watched this classic again last night. Man...when it comes to underappreciated Disney films, this one's up there.

Michael J. Fox was already a plus to begin with, the rest of the cast is phenomenal as well (Cree :D ). Plus Milo's one of my favorite Disney characters. Such a shame that this movie didn't catch on...it really is gorgeous. Like, the movie just LOOKS great. The entire aesthetic is wonderful.

More people need to see it. Go do yourselves a favor and watch it on Netflix if you haven't seen it. And if you have? Watch it again. :D

That's funny, we just got the 2 pack through Disney Movie Rewards. I just watched it over the past weekend for the first time. I agree, it was a good looking movie. We still have to watch the second movie, but seeing this for the first time I can say that I enjoyed it.

I had the great privilege of working on this movie while at Disney Feature. It was a beautiful film that unfortunately suffered from some plot problems

I used to watch it a lot when I was little but I didn't really remember it and I watched again it a couple months ago and I loved it. I wish there was more Atlantis stuff in Disney Infinity other the sky and terrain like some townspeople.

So much of the visual development was from the great Mike Mignola

It was a huge thrill! So many talented people was overwhelming. Randy Haycock was the lead animator on Kida, he did an amazing job. Being the lead character and having the most screen time, I mostly worked on Milo, along with 30 or so other people, but was fortunate to be even a small part of the team

Wow, that's so sweet! I used to love this movie, it was one of my favourites! I had the Atlantis game for PS1 as well, and I played the heck outta that game. That's so cool that you worked on the movie FelixBrownSLC! :D :D

Thanks! Working in feature film (especially Disney Feature) is something I'll always be proud of and incredibly thankful for. I've somehow managed to stay in this crazy business since 1997, it's been an amazing ride!
