I loved and still love this movie. I'm afraid to let my kids watch it 'cause i don't know what I'll do if they don; like it. :) It did have some plot problems, but it was beautiful, ambitious, and wonderful. It had a smoker in it, when was the last time a Disney movie had someone (who wasn't a villain) smoke a cigarette?

wow, you're right. a smoker! It was also one of the first in a long while to not have any singing. Unfortunately it was also the beginning of the end of 2d animation. I would go onto Treasure Planet and then Home on the Range, then that was it

All 3 very under appreciated films which only seemed to suffer at box office due to the rise in 3d animation within BlueSky and Dreamworks. Home on the Range seems to be a christmas staple at my house (it just seems to fit)

I'm just thankful this movie got anything in Infinity, haha. The fact that it got a Skydome and Terrain were awesome in my opinion.

And my god, the MUSIC. So great. Especially the Crystal Chamber OST.

Working on the film must've been a blast.

What's funny is that entire movie was originally pitched as high concept based on the image of Kida floating up into the Crystal chamber. The rest of the story was written around it

I enjoy them as well. Having worked in animation since "97, I've collected a few!
