Disney 50 Film Countdown Fail

They messed up if they're counting ALL Disney animated films that were in theaters.
They're missing the following films:
Ducktales The Movie
A Goofy Movie
Recess Schools Out
Teacher's Pet
Return to Neverland
The Jungle Book 2
The Tigger Movie
Piglet's Big Movie
Pooh's Hefelump Movie
The Wild

Any guesses as to why they would exclude these 10 films form their countdown?

There were plenty of films that shared those same reasons, but they made it into the countdown.
Home on the Range, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, Chicken Little, and Meet the Robinsons to name a few. I guess the ten I list are the ones they're really ashamed of and hoped that everyone forgot about.

No guessing - there is a very specific reason. The list of 52 (and counting) films that you're referring to includes all feature films produced at Walt Disney Animation Studios. You can see the full list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Disney_theatrical_animated_features

The films you mentioned were NOT produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, but by DisneyToon Studios, a separate branch that produces sequels and spinoffs to the main canon. They are also listed on the Wiki page under a separate section, because they are a separate studio. They are not given the "Disney Animated Classic" label. It has nothing to with box office or being ashamed of them.
