Wander Over Yonder

Wander Over Yonder

Has anyone else heard of this? It's an upcoming cartoon that will be airing on the Disney Channel some time this year. And it's produced by none other than Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends) and Lauren Faust (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)!

Basically, it's about this happy-go-lucky orange creature named Wander and his trusty steed, a female blue creature named Sylvia. They travel across the galaxy spreading fun and happiness on every planet they visit. But they are also constantly being chased by Lord Hater and his evil "watchdog" minions, who apparently want the misery and oppression of others.

I don't like the Disney Channel much, but I'm willing to check out this cartoon once it airs!

It looks like fun! While I certainly haven't been a big fan of Disney Channel for the past several years, I have to admit that they seem to be stepping up their game recently with new shows - especially the animated ones. Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls are both great, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Sophia the First are great for the age group they're intended for, and it looks like upcoming stuff is something to look forward to as well.

Concept and everything, gives me Adventure Time vibes, but overall it looks much better than Adventure Time visually. And Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust being together on this has the potential for great things.
And who knows, we might see them in Disney Infinity someday!

Yeah. I feel exactly the same way. I'm willing to give this show a chance as long as the characters aren't obnoxiously annoying, though. Two weird-looking creatures exploring different worlds just has too much creative potential for me to ignore.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Wander and Sylvia get their own figures, either for the sake of promoting the show or because the show will actually be popular enough to allow it.

I hope the story is as good as the design of the show, because I liked the designs for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends but the stories and characters became very annoying to me.

No kidding. I loved the pilot episode, but I quickly grew tired of the tv show. It got too repetitive, relied on simple gags more than anything else, and the characters were too one-dimensional. I also hated how Bloo went from being a mischievous but well-meaning kid to an all around obnoxious jerk.

I totally agree and the show got even worse when they made cheese a recurring character.

I just realized that Wander has the same VA as Fix-It Felix. XD
