Pirates of the Caribbean 5...Dead Men Tell No Tales

Disney to Release Pirates of the Caribbean 5 in 2017

Walt Disney Pictures just announced that Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will hit theaters on July 7, 2017. The movie, which previously was said to have the subtitle of "Dead Men Tell No Tales," has that date to itself for now.

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Launched in 2003 with The Curse of the Black Pearl, the franchise has, in every film so far, featured Johnny Depp in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa. The most recent adventure, On Stranger Tides, also starred Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane and Sam Claflin and turned out more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" films have earned over $3.7 billion at the worldwide box office.

I think Penelope Cruz will return. If Will and Elizabeth return I believe it will only be because its been 10 years and Will can come back to shore or dealing with their son in some manner. I need to dust off the old Cap Jack Costume and get it ready for the next movie.

Can't wait for this movie. Hope they somehow add more stuff to the pirates of the carribean playset and characters
