Tron (including Tron 3)

I have seen Legacy but not the original. While Legacy doesn't have the greatest story, the absolute brilliant style and soundtrack more than make up for it. Will I be disappointed going back to watch the original?

@braiko. The original is a classic from another era. Unless you appreciate the nostalgia, you might not enjoy it. I loved it, having grown up in the 80s. It was a different time.

I watched the original Tron movie quite some years after it was released, it was definitely after the year 2000. It's still one of my favorite Disney movies, I truly love it! But I'm also a sucker for older sci-fi movies in general...

I'm more interested in filling in the details on the origin of Clu and Tron etc. As long as the story/effects aren't downright BAD I'm sure it'll be fine. I WILL miss Daft Punk however :(

For its time the effects were groundbreaking! If you can appreciate that I'm sure you'll be fine watching the movie. And Jeff Bridges is also in this one as his character from Legacy, same with Bruce Boxleitner (he plays Tron).

I've thought about watching the original Tron, but I don't know if I could make it through the whole movie. Was the story decent/good? I can look past the dated part if it's entertaining.

Garrett Hedlund as Sam Flynn and Olivia Wilde as Quorra are the only ones confirmed for Tron 3 along with director Joseph Kosinski. Possibly Bruce Boxleitner as Bruce Boxleitner as Alan Bradley / Tron / Rinzler, Who knows. ^^
