The original Tron is a brilliant 80s movie! And 80s movies aren't old! I consider myself a fan of Tron and I have not watched any of the new stuff at all yet. I love the original; have for a long time. I much prefer the retro style in it than the new stuff too.

I love both movies in their own aspects! The original Tron is definitely worth a watch, great special effects for that time! I also thought it was great that they used the same actors in both movies, Jeff Bridges for Kevin Flynn and Bruce Boxleitner for Alan Bradley and Tron.

There was a PC game, Tron 2.0, that was set as a sequel to the original Tron. It involved a virus that was infecting the computer and instead of Bit as your sidekick you now had Byte. wasn't a bad game and you would use light disks to take out enemies.

I loved both movies and remember playing Tron at the arcade... I guess that dates me a little bit... O'well, I love Disney Infinity!

TRON 3 Update from writer Adam Horowitz

Horowitz: Hopefully we’ll have some news about what’s going on forward with the next one soon. There’s nothing official to announce now but hopefully soon, but it’s chugging along. It is. Eddie [Kitsis] and I are co-producers on the film. And we have a script that’s being written by a great writer named Jesse Wigutow. And we’re really, really excited. I mean the studio is hopefully excited, but Joe is involved and everybody’s involved and everybody is waiting to get the go-ahead and we’re hopeful.

In regards to some of the criticism Tron: Legacy received, Horowitz said “if we’re lucky enough to continue on with the franchise, we only want to keep making it better.” Hopefully Disney gives them the opportunity to do that.

I wish they'd go back to the retro style for Tron, I am not keen on the new style. Retro FTW.
