Already three years old? Time sure flies!
I still like the movie, has some great scenes and Maximus is awesome!

I found it pretty funny. :lol:
I wish they'd sell it on iTunes so I could get a copy for myself.


I noticed something significant while watching Rapunzel's promotional video (for DI).

The first time she does a ground pound, there's a burst of sunlight.
I found that interesting, because it's a nod to the movie that Rapunzel draws her power from a piece of the sun.

I wonder if she uses solar powered attacks in any other way?
Like maybe a sunblast from her hands?
I should investigate that further when I get my Rapunzel figure.


Now having a mental image of Rapunzel meets Elsa.
Fire and Ice collide! :lol:

Anna: On this side of the room, we have the girl with a sunny disposition, on the other side of the room, the coolest big sister in the world.
Elsa: Stay over there Blondie, the last time you came over here, you melted my ice sculptures.
Rapunzel: When you borrowed my paints, they came back frozen! And you gave Pascale a cold! I had to knit him a sweater!

Wow, it's been three years since it came out. I finally watched it last night and enjoyed it a lot. I had gotten it on Blu-Ray but it's been sitting in my media drawer for a while. My wife's favorite was Pascal!

I never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever... *takes breath* ...ever, ever, ever, ever thought that I would like a Disney animated movie more than I liked The Little Mermaid... I mean like, ever. I mean nothing ever came close before... not Beauty & the Beast... not Wall-E... nothing. To me TLM was just utter and complete perfection. (Although the Japanese anime movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006) is still my fav overall animated movie of all-time).

And even though I still like "Part of Your World" (know all the lyrics by heart, lol) better than "When Will My Life Begin"... and even though I like the "Kiss the Girl" romantic rowboat scene in TLM better than the "I See the Light" rowboat scene in Tangled... and even though large CGI eyes still kinda creep me out (lol)... I found myself liking Tangled more than The Little Mermaid. :mrgreen:

I think I still like Ariel best, better than Rapunzel... but IMO Flynn Rider simply blows away the prince dude from TLM (whose name escapes me at the moment, lol). Ursula vs. Mother Gothel comes out as a draw... I think the tie breakers are Pascal and Maximus... they are just cuter and more fun than Sebastian, Flounder and the Pelican... what was his name... oh yah... Scuttles. :D

Guess what: In Germany the movie was released -yes!- on my birthday. Must have been meant for me somehow. ;)
