No more Direct-to-DVD sequels?

I've noticed a decrease of direct-to-DVD sequels.
Planes was a direct-to-DVD sequel, but now it seems to be a theater production.
Because of this and the fact that a Pirates of the Caribbean direct-to-DVD sequel hasn't been made, I think that it is highly likely that Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph will be getting theater sequels.
I don't want to jinx anything, but let's keep our hopes up.
