Centres around Alro and Spot's (the boy) relationship. Alro is fascinated by bugs and one day comes across one which he has never seen before, the boy. The dinosaurs, having never seen a human before. Together, the two go off on an adventure.

Update: August 30th 2013
It's been confirmed that Bob Peterson, the original director, has been taken off the film project.

Until a new director is appointed, a group of Pixar directors will be stepping in to over see the project. The group consists of John Lasseter, Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3), Mark Andrews (Brave) and the film’s original co-director Peter Sohn.

Studio president Ed Catmull provided an explanation:
“All directors get really deep in their films,” Catmull said this week. “Sometimes you just need a different perspective to get the idea out. Sometimes directors … are so deeply embedded in their ideas it actually takes someone else to finish it up. I would go so far as to argue that a lot of live-action films would be better off with that same process.”

Update: September 18th 2013
The Good Dinosaur has been pushed back to a 2015 release date. Originally intended to be release 14th May 2014, it will now hit cinemas 25th November 2015. Intern, this also pushed back the release date of 'Finding Dory' Which originally the release spot. This well be the first time since 2006 in which Pixar haven't released a film.

I will be updating this post with more news about the film as and when we get it.

Yes, actually. They are cousins.

He has worked on quite a few films including Star Wars Episode VI, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Finding Nemo to name a few. As well as doing the score in full for Wall-E.

Thomas Newman is so much better than Randy Newman. Randy's music all sounds exactly the same. Thomas likes to experiment.

I agree. Thomas has made some amazing music. I especially love what he did for Wall-E.
