Five? FIVE? That's too difficult for me, so I'll categorize my favorites.

Most Relatable: Ratatouille, A Bug's Life, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, How to Train Your Dragon, and Wreck-it Ralph
Most Conceptually Appealing: Up, Monster's Inc, Peter Pan, Lilo & Stitch, and Toy Story
Best Storytelling: Finding Nemo, The Croods, Tarzan, Beauty & the Beast, and Tangled
Honorable Mentions: Frozen, Chicken Run, ParaNorman, Cars, and Mulan

Oh, and...

Best Use of Magic Feather Syndrome: The Lego Movie

(Animated only)

5. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

If one character had to define my childhood, it would be this guy. Who doesn't love (classic) SpongeBob? The movie was the first that I watched in the theater with a friend instead of my own parents, although I wouldn't watch a movie without parents until Monsters University. Not only did the film blow my kindergartner-mind, but rewatching years later gives a great message for everybody; don't be in a rush to grow up for everyone around you, because you'll miss out on a lot if you do. Or, was that Ferris Bueller...?

4. The LEGO Movie

I believe that these days, non-Disney films aren't made with the same quality that they were years ago. *coughBravecough* When I went to go see this movie, I was under the impression that the first line of a film tells you a lot about the film as a whole. What was the first line of this film?

"He's coming, Cover your butts."

Oh no, this is going to be nothing but toilet jokes...

Well, that pre-Lego Movie KtC thought was quickly slapped away by just how deep the actual movie was; I actually really cared about the characters and how they would turn out in the end. I could relate to Emmet's feelings of not being important to anybody, even though he literally knew them his entire life. And, not to spoil too much, but Buisness' speech to Emmet before the computer really cuts you deep. People want to feel important, and a speech like that can destroy their confidence. And Emmet's speech to him later? Goodness, I'll never forget Buisness' face during that. Easily the best film of 2014, and with a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this is a film that people should show their kids. I'm on the edge of my seat for Lego Movie 2.

3. Monsters University

The first film I've ever seen in the theater without my parents (Lego Movie being the second), I originaly saw this to keep my then-new stepbrother out of the house before his birthday party- and I don't regret it at all. I fell in love with Mike and Sulley all over again, and the message still gets me. This was the film that encouraged me to do my best in school- because even if I can't live up to my dream job, I can still do something worthwhile.

2. Monsters Inc.

For a while, I had the most difficulty choosing between this and University, but I chose this because as a kid, I always wanted to be a hard worker like Sulley- great with the boss, and a company role model. For now, though, I'll try to be like Mike in University, but just until school ends and I'm hired.

1. Wreck-It Ralph

The ultimate movie for my feels, I fell in love with this and blew nearly $100 on tickets in the theater. It totally paralleled my life at the time. I was Ralph, the Nicelanders were students at my school, and Felix was the only student who tried to be nice to me. Sugar Rush was my new life, and Vanellope was my new brother. I definitely relate to Ralph, and adore this film from start to finish. I hope they do the sequel justice, because I'll be watching it as soon as I can with anticipation.
Not dead, just busy. :)
