Disney just announced star wars land at D23! OMG THIS IS SO AMAZING! What are your thoughts on this new development!?
Proud Wii U owner, and thinks that the console is the perfect Next Gen.

Will this be a separate park (probably not) or will be it replacing or adding to a park already made (for wdw it should be in Hollywood Studios and for dl it should be near Star Tours in tomorrowland

Tomorrowland in Disneyland is not big enough for Star Wars Land, they'd have to get rid of everything and that would not go well. At Disneyland, Star Wars Land will be near Frontierland where Big Thunder Ranch is, they are closing it to turn it into Star Wars Land. At Disney World it will be at Hollywood Studios

Is it just me or everybody seems very surprised by this but for some reason, I knew 2 years ago!? Didn't they announce it at the same time they announced Avatar (Animal Kingdom) and Cars land (Hollywood Studios) ? I was even planning my next trip in 2018 because they had announced that the 3 lands would be ready by that time.
I might have got some privileged information, but I really doubt it. I don't know anybody important!

They hadn't announced anything, maybe it was a plan, but it wasn't official. And as far as I know, Hollywood Studios isn't getting Cars Land, they talked about it but I don't remember them ever officially announcing it and they didn't announce it at D23, maybe they decided to do Toy Story Land instead, because they announced that will be at Hollywood Studios. I don't know if Star Wars Land will be done by 2018, they haven't officially given a date, but I hope it's done by then.
You don't have to know anyone important to get privileged information. As a Disneyland cast member, I can tell you we sometimes learn things they plan on doing with the park years before they officially announce they are going to do those things.
