Disney Infinity Fans

Ok, while it's technically not a park, it is still a part of the Disney family. I am talking about Disney Cruise Line of course.

Feel free to talk about anything DCL here from the Disney ships to Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.

I have been on 4 Disney Cruises (3 on the Wonder, 1 on the Magic) and will be going on my 5th Disney Cruise (and my 1st on the new Disney Fantasy) next month. I'm excited!

I really do not know enough about them. Do they do a good enough job of recreating the Disney experience? That has been my biggest concern.

I remember the commercial for these things where Wall-E was the towel boy.

I say the ships do a really good job of creating the Disney experience. Each of the ships has Broadway-style shows that relate to Disney in some way, family-friendly events, character meet-and-greets, etc. It's kind of like the Disney Parks, only on the sea. Oh and did I mention the all you can eat food?

My favorite part of Disney Cruise Line is the character meet and greets. The characters on the ships are more widely available. Also, there are only about 1,000 people on the ship for the length of the trip providing extra opportunities to see the characters. In the parks, there might be 10,000 people (rough estimation) that see a character in a day. I think on the ships, the character experiences are a little more personal.

The Disney Cruise lines are the Disney experience and then some. I have been lucky enough to have been on a couple of cruises and was blown away with how good they are. As mentioned above, the access to characters is huge (especially later in the evening) and the level of interaction is so much more than you would ever get in the parks... One of my favourite pictures of my son has him lying on the floor with Goofy and Pluto.
The on-board shows are of a very, very high standard. The food is amazing. And I would very happily live on Castaway Cay.

My Disney Cruise is only 26 days away. Woohoo! I will be sailing on the Disney Fantasy for the first time.

Been on 3 and I say they are the prettiest cruise ships I've been (been on 1 other and know people who have been on others). They truly recreate the feel of transatlantic cruising with Disney.

From the port playing Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride to dancing a Congo line with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious during dinner, you FEEL Disney!

i have been on the DCL about 8 times now i just got off of the Royal Caribbean oasis of the Seas (Biggest cruise ship in the world) and i would have to say i feel like i have more fun on the Disney Cruise they only thing wrong with the Disney cruise is that i wish that there was clubs and i mean like 21+ clubs with loud dancing music i have yet to ever see that on the Disney i know they are very family oriented which is awesome but they should have "Beat Street" kinda closed down for adults 11 PM or something. but 100% DCL does an amazing job with the Disney Feel and the service is out of this world! i definitely recommend going at least one time!

My wife and I were worried it would be too kid friendly, and that there wouldn't be enough for us to do without the little ones. Man were we wrong! I think the only thing they don't have is a casino, which I am totally okay with.
