Cars in toy box

I think I saw a video some time ago in which a developer mentioned that you can add weapons to mounts in the toy box only after you've unlocked them in the Cars play set. Is this confirmed? I really wasn't planning on getting that play set, at least not for some time, however weapons on mounts in my toy box will be crucial to what I want to accomplish. Is there a page that shows which play sets add what kinds of items? Thanks for the help guys!

Ugh...lol well than it would appear as though I have little choice in buying cars now too. One week ago I was just telling my girlfriend how I wouldn't be getting sucked in to buying all these toys for it and that the starter pack and maybe the line ranger set would be it for now....well that's out of the window now. Anyone else feel that sharp pain ripping through my wallet?

I want to know how the cars characters use items like the jet pack or goo grower and since they tow how do they pick up human characters

^I don't know the answer but you may have it in your question. We know the Cars characters have the tow ability. We have yet to see any humanoid character with this ability. Maybe different characters have different limitations.

I'm wondering how you drive the Cars characters if you are in 1-player.

Follow this plan:

What you need:
1. Your Game System of Choice (X360, PS3, or Wii)
2. Two Game System Controllers.
3. "Disney Infinity" game & base
4. A DI human or human-like figure. ( For the sample of the plan, I'm assuming the figure of Violet Parr from "The Incredibles".)
5. A DI "Cars" figure. (For the sample of the plan, I'm assuming Sir Tow Mater as the "Cars" figure.)

The Plan:
1. Turn on your game system and your Player #1's controller
2. Plug in your Disney Infinity base.
3. Put the Disney Infinity Game Disc into your game system.
4. Put Violet on the first figure slot on the DI base. (You should arrive in the Toy Box if I recall the DI interviews correctly)
5. Active Player #2 controller.
6. Put Mater in second figure slot on the DI base.
7. Move Violet on to Mater -- now you can have Violet drive Mater
