Question for any of the Mickeys!

So...we are hearing two different things about launch figures! And I was hoping one of the Mickeys could clear it up for us! John Vignocchi is saying that the figures announced (17, including playsets and starter pack) are the ONLY launch figures! But...John Day is saying 4 more will be released at launch (making it 21)? Could anyone explain who is right?

I know that they are making some announcements at the D23 Expo. I am not Mickey but if I had to guess I would say 21. I think John is saying the 17 are all they have announced as of now. I haven't heard him explicitly say that there will ONLY be 17 launch figures. But, I have been wrong before.

So....John Vignocchi said on his twitter "Only the characters we have announced to date are available on launch day." I just don't get it!?!?

I think that's a clear answer....so the 17 figures we have seen so far are the only ones we can buy on launch day. There will be more figures but not until after the launch.

So are there going to be waves of figures released at a time, or are some just going to come out along the way. I know that everything is basically on the disk to unlock, but there is a rumor going around that Frozen figures have been spotted on orders for release later in the year. They have supposedly announced all of the playsets that will be available for Infinity 1. Where does this put that.

When did they announce all the play sets? I am more than positive there will be many more other than the launch ones we have seen.

i can tell you that phineas,ferb,perry will likelly be part of a playset, which is confirmed to be released in wave 2

I'm still not so sure I believe John Vignocchi. I mean, he isn't going to say " yes, more figures are comings for launch" because that would ruin the surprise. It's possible that no more figures will come for launch, but I won't be fully convinced until after D23.
