Why are my figure's skill points all messed up?

including hints, tips and glitches. any hardware, software or gameplay related questions go in this forum
please try and make it clear in the topic title what the content is

Why are my figure's skill points all messed up?

I haven't played the game in a while, and after downloading the new patch my skill point's are all messed up. One figured had all of their skills reset, and Boba Fett has -23 points. Is this a common bug, and is there a way around it?
