FIGURES NOT REGISTERING PROPERLY ON BASE?

Postby BionicKoalaBoy » Wed Jan 06, 2016 1:52 pm

I just thought i'd share this old issue I had when we first got our Infinity playset about 6 months ago, in case any new users have found it. What happened was when we placed our infinity figures on the base , they would go ghostly and drop in and out of the game without warning, as if being removed and replaced. It turned out after a couple of emails that it was because the frame of the piece of furniture the base was place on was made of iron. The issue was the metal interfering with the signal from base to figure. It took me a day or two to work out, because no one else had seemed to have experienced it. We thought we had a faulty base unit. - Anyway, all I had to do was move my base... Lesson learned.

Has anyone else found this, or had any other issues with base placement or the environment?

Yes, base errors due to metal fixtures have been quite common since 1.0.

Also other electronic devices nearby can cause interference as well.

That's also why folks see different behavior from the Light FX figures. They seem to blink/strobe if there is interference around (and are very sensitive, a couple of power discs under them can cause the same).

Discovered this also happens when the base is on top of a horizontally placed Xbox360. The power discs constantly drop in and out.
